These are Mavic's Cosmic Carbone Ultimate wheels, which are a Mavic's answer to Lightweight wheels and top of their range when introduced. Compared with Lightweights, they are a better all-around package. While the weight is a marginally higher, they stay in true thanks to stronger rims, the rear wheel is much stiffer, and braking performance better. If weight matters, you can switch the free hub to a titanium model, but in my experience the stiffness and lightness already helps you fly uphill faster than your fitness levels suggests is possible. Braking downhill is good, better than most aluminium rims with yellow prince or Campagnolo red pads. I can't say how they are in the wet as I never rode them in the rain.-- Both wheels in excellent condition, only used for a few hilly races and 2 triathlons. No training rides and wiped down after EVERY use, then stored in wheel bags until next use.-- Both wheels within a mm of perfectly true-- Front wheel has full carbon bladed spokes and full carbon front hub (picture 2)-- Rear wheel has full carbon bladed spokes and aluminium hub, with truing ability (picture 3)-- Bearings never changed and silky smooth-- Fitted with almost new Vittoria Corsas, with maybe 100km as replaced last season and not ridden since.-- Comes with 2x Mavic padded wheel bags
